  • The Challenge.

    The success of 3sixteen lays in making long-lasting, quality product from fabric and trim that develops its own character over time. The evidence of this is strong in their flagship denim collection. However, what was missing from their collection were the knitted layering pieces to round out the look. 3sixteen approached us to help develop a new sweater category for them, with the focus on manufacturing ethically with a top-in-class resource.

  • The Strategy.

    3sixteen was accustomed to local manufacturing that provides the benefit of keeping a close eye on production and speed to market. We started development with a NYC sweater factory and eventually expanded to include a artisanal Peruvian factory.

  • The Execution.

    Utilizing our wealth of knitwear expertise, we continue to collaborate on sweater collections incorporating Pima cotton yarns, linen/cotton, and alpaca/merino wool blends.

  • The Success.

    What started off as a small collection for 3sixteen stores and e-commerce has expanded to include wholesale clients. The sweater category is currently in the third season and continues to be be well received by customers.
